Development Conference

In Canberra’s charming red leaves autumn, Macquarie Mandarin teachers gathered for their annual development conference.

The whole day conference started with the principal’s analysis of Macquarie Mandarin courses, and followed with the teachers’ presentation of ‘How to Facilitate Students’ Mandarin Learning’.

After a gourmet lunch at Old Bus Depot Markets, the teachers discussed the different aspects of lesson planning and reviewed the textbooks.

The teachers and families enjoyed a feast dinner at Tang Dynasty Restaurant after the meeting.

On the second day, the team took a tour of the capital city, visited the Parliament House, National Science and Technology Centre and the National Gallery of Australia as part of the conference’s educational and cultural studies.
