10 Year Anniversary

Macquarie Mandarin celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary milestone on 9 June at Club York. Australian MP Matt Thistlethwaite opened the evening with his impressive and moving Mandarin and English speech. This was followed by UNSW Professor Karen Fisher’s Mandarin and English bilingual speech as student representative. Macquarie Mandarin Administration Team hosted the event and presented a PPT slideshow of the 10-year history of the Sydney’s leading Mandarin School.
More than 100 students, teachers and guests enjoyed the evening with drinks and finger food. The evening was paired with Chinese music band and fantastic performances such as Erhu, singing and classical Chinese poem reading by Macquarie Mandarin teachers and students.
The celebration event ended with lucky draws and a gift presentation of the Macquarie Mandarin mascot –Golden Fish T shirts to students and guests.
